The well-known Newfoundland "Dog of Discovery," Seaman, who accompanied Sacajawea and the Lewis and Clark Expedition to the Pacific Ocean, has been given a permanent home in Salmon, Idaho. Commissioned by the Lemhi County Humane Society, metal sculptor William Kranstover and bronze artist Adrian Prazten sculpted a life-sized Newfoundland dog for the Sacajawea Center after spending countless hours consulting with a Newfoundland expert. This striking bronze rendition of Seaman stands to the east of the Sacajawea sculpture.
