We are fortunate to have local and longtime Newfoundland trainer/handler Lanelle Warrick lead this seminar. Lanelle
has successfully trained novice handlers to draft titles and has judged Newfoundland Draft Tests. Lanelle is considered
the “harnessing” guru and go-to person when learning to draft. There will also be other experienced draft handlers
attending to assist participants. You will definitely gain and learn a lot from this seminar.

At the Qwest Field Events Center during the Seattle Kennel Club Show. Club members are needed to staff 2 hour shifts. Well behaved Newfs are invited to join and will be loved by hundreds from oldsters to toddlers, so bring your drool towels. Contact the Event Chair if you are interested in volunteering to help out.

It’s time for our annual Green Lake Walk.

- Enjoy coffee and pastries
- Walk your dogs along the lake, winning prizes for going the distance
- Participate in the membership meeting, with a discussion of the coming year’s events and awards for 10, 15, and 20 years of service in the NCS
- Experienced draft test qualifiers will demonstrate and assist those interested in learning and training for draft work. Carts and harnesses will be made available for members to examine, try out, and ask questions.

Effective July 1, 2011, Nolte State Park, the test site, requires a Washington State Discover Pass on your vehicle. The fine for not displaying the pass is $99. The pass must be pre-purchased and is not available at any state park. Please see www.discoverpass.wa.gov for more information and places to purchase your pass. Each entrant or spectator is responsible for purchasing their own pass.
